I've spent my career zigging and zagging through Software, Data, Reliability, and Platform Engineering. Over the past 18 years I've moved from writing software to building the teams that write it — hiring, mentoring, and setting the technical direction that lets good engineers do their best work.

Today I'm the Sr. Director of Platform Engineering at Twilio, where I lead internal platform across Cloud Foundations, Developer Productivity, Reliability Engineering, and Observability. I care most about the unglamorous parts of leadership: clear expectations, healthy feedback, and shipping simple and elegant software that makes a difference.

Beyond the day job, I advise engineering leaders and organizations on internal tooling products, scaling platform teams, and building a culture that lasts — and I bring the same topics to conferences, meetups, and webinars.
